I have had the honor to serve the citizens of Manchester as a State Representative, an Alderman and for the past four years as Mayor. One of the greatest opportunities I have had is to hear from citizens about their concerns, their interests, and the personal stories that collectively make us the community that we are.
More recently, I have travelled the state to begin to do the same. On the Seacoast, in the Lakes Region, and everywhere in between, I am hearing the same concerns and questions as I have heard for years in my hometown. Citizens are worried about their livelihoods – and feel they’re being misrepresented in Washington by politicians who waste our hard earned tax dollars by inserting more government into our lives.
I want to go to Congress and help to change that. I believe in personal liberty and with that, personal responsibility; we, the people, know better how to spend our tax dollars than politicians and bureaucrats in Washington. It’s time to take the power back.
I want to set forth an agenda that restores our ability to achieve the American dream; to buy a home, be secure in your job, feel your family is safe and healthy and make sure that the government doesn’t control our lives, but gets out of the way enough to let us live them. I look forward to interacting with you on the campaign trail over the next few months.
