Frank's Fifty - Day #4/Cut #4

Proposal #4 - Frank’s Fifty                                                                                           Manchester – Conservative congressional candidate Frank Guinta (NH-01) continued his series of proposed spending cuts this morning, fulfilling on his promise to offer a spending cut a day until the September Primary. The program is called Frank’s Fifty. “It is time for Congress to get serious about reigning in federal spending and eliminating the national debt. As a proven tax fighter, I am offering proposed cuts so that the public will know that I mean business when it comes to limited government spending. Thus far, I am the only candidate running in the First District who is offering real solutions to deficit spending and the only who has a demonstrable record of cutting government spending.” Proposed Cut #4: I propose the immediate suspension of new federal land purchases and a moratorium of new purchases for five years. Last year, the government purchased land valued at $266 million. Adding to the federal land trust is not a high priority of the public and falls into the category of a need versus a want. It is just another example of unnecessary federal spending. Day 4                          Savings: $266 million per year; $1.33 billion over five years ###
